We were contacted by Granada Media which is the company responsible for the production of
“Carol Vorderman's Better Homes Series” who asked if Buckinghamshire Window Company
would erect a new conservatory for a deserving elderly couple in Grenville Road, Aylesbury.

We readily accepted the “challenge” and set to
organising the project. Our brief was initially to
erect a new conservatory in two days, however Granada media quickly added more work to do.

The final project amounted to a complete
new conservatory, a new outhouse roof of over
seven metres in length, a new door & window
to the outhouse and two new doors to the other
property also featured in this program.

The work was completed ahead
of schedule even after being halted
on numerous occasions for filming.

We worked very closely with Sue Pitman
the main designer both before and during the
project. We achieved everything we set out to
do to the extent that many of the production
team frequently commented on our efficiency,
professionalism and quality of work.

The couple were delighted with their
new conservatory, which complimented
the landscaping and decking which was
also organised by “Better Homes”

Although we did a great deal of work both
before and during the project the whole
company really enjoyed the experience
and the staff are to be commended for
their concerted effort and flexibility to
“get the job done”.
